Avatar Tutorial 03

This tutorial is going to show you how to make an image:

Look like this:


Step One

  • Open up PSP and an image. Click on the image and go layers -> duplicate.


    Step Two

  • Go colours -> adjust -> colour balance. When the box opens make sure your settings look like this:

    Cyan/Red = 28
    Magenta/Green = 68
    Yellow/Blue = 73

    Then click Ok.


    Step Three

  • Now go to colours -> histogram functions -> histogram adjustment and when the box pops up chage the settings to this:

    Edit = Green
    Midtone Compress = -25
    Click Ok.


    Step Four

  • Open up the histogram adjustment again but this time change it to:

    Edit = Red
    Midtone Compress = -25

    Layers -> merge


    Step Five

  • Layers -> duplicate, then floodfill with #FFFFFF and then go layers -> properties -> and set the blend mode to soft light 78. Now, layers -> merge then effects -> sharpen.


    And that's it. You can add whatever you would like to your avatar.
