Avatar Tutorial 04

With this tutorial you are going to make this:

Look like this:


Step One

  • Open up PSP and your image. Click on the image and go layers -> duplicate.


    Step Two

  • Effects -> blur -> guassian blur (5.00), click OK, and set then go layers -> properties and set the blend mode to screen 78. Then go layers -> merge.


    Step Three

  • Layers -> duplicate. Then go colours -> adjust -> colour balance and change the settings to this:

    Cyan/Red = 68
    Magenta/Green = 47
    Yellow/Blue = 81


    Step Four

  • Then go colours -> histogram function -> histogram adjustment and make sure the settings looks like this:

    Edit = Blue 40

    Layers -> merge and then effects -> sharpen.


    Now you can do whatever you would like with the avatar. Here is what I did.
